Zami Maria is a body painter based out of Santa Barbara, California. She has a fine art degree from UCSB and has been a professional body artist for almost 20 years.

Her interested in body art started at age 15, when she bought a henna temporary tattoo kit. At 19 she became a professional face painter and started her own event service business. Through her company Santa Barbara Face Painting you can hire face painters, henna artists, balloon twisters, hair tinsel, and arts and crafts. At 21, she attended a body painting workshop and immediately became passionate about body painting. Since then she has traveled worldwide to music festivals and worked at hundreds of events. Through her own love for dance and fire performance, she learned how to create body art that would last through stage performances. She has also developed her own abstract calligraphy style. She enjoys photography and strives to take photos of her own work when she can!
